Valentine

I hope that everyone had a lovely Valentine Day. This season has been special for me as well. I attended a couple of dinners and spent a lovely evening home with my family. We cooked dinner together, set the table with china, played our favorite CD, lit a candle and celebrated how much we loved each other. It was a special day.

Silver Boxes

I wonder how many of us go through life thanking and praising our co-workers, classmates, and friends but often overlook the people who are in our very household. I must admit that I sometimes overlook my loved one that are under the same roof. When attending this conference recently one of the speakers talked about how she would often speak rudely to her son. Which only seemed to tear him down. I reviewed this practice in my family and realized that I would not speak negatively, however sometimes I would not say anything at all. Silver Boxes is about placing silver boxes in different rooms in your house as a reminder to say nice things to my family that will encourage them and not tear them down. If these are the most important people in our life, we should treat them as such.
