I wonder how many of us go through life thanking and praising our co-workers, classmates, and friends but often overlook the people who are in our very household. I must admit that I sometimes overlook my loved one that are under the same roof. When attending this conference recently one of the speakers talked about how she would often speak rudely to her son. Which only seemed to tear him down. I reviewed this practice in my family and realized that I would not speak negatively, however sometimes I would not say anything at all. Silver Boxes is about placing silver boxes in different rooms in your house as a reminder to say nice things to my family that will encourage them and not tear them down. If these are the most important people in our life, we should treat them as such.

I love this idea! I am going to go through some old knick knacks and find some little silver pieces/boxes to place in all of our rooms as a reminder. I totally agree with you, I don't always say the added nice things they need to hear, and I definitely want to. Thanks for that tip!
